Possible New Blog!

Happy Thursday Everyone! We are officially on the downhill to the weekend... or the up hill to Monday, whichever way you want to look at it.

I am seriously considering starting a new blog to talk about all my little projects I have been working on... I have been in this crafty mood lately and have created some fun things that would be fun to share, but I have some road blocks! It does not help that I am the worst at taking photos! Not that I cannot do it, just that I do not do it! For example, I have made 5 or 6 skirts, that I think were so cute, and have not taken a single photo of any of them!

So my first road block is the issue with my poor photo taking memory, the second and probably the biggest road block is the fact that I don't know what to call this said blog! I have thought of a couple names, but want your help...

The names I have come up with are as follows...

My Seventh Heaven - I am kind of embarrassed to say this, but I absolutely LOVE the show 7th Heaven. I might have almost all the seasons on DVD... Maybe... AND you could say I am in heaven when I craft, I mean I REALLY enjoy it! So it works all around!

Ash Has - This one I do not really like... I thought of this because I am Ashlee hence Ash, and I made everything you will see... not that all the ideas were 100% mine, but I did what I will show, and of course link to who I stole the idea from.

So any ideas? I would love to hear your thoughts!

And what post would be complete without a couple ADORABLE pics!!

Last EVER Work Christmas Party

Last night the hubby and I went to my last EVER work Christmas party. It was bittersweet!!

The drive there was an event itself!! We dropped the chicks off with the Hansen clan and took off! We decided to take frontage road to bypass rush hour traffic. As we were flying past everyone I was thinking... "haha, suckers!". That was my first bad! We were cruising along about 3 miles from the last on ramp and the road closes! We had to turn around and drive all the way back. (now who is the sucker! bummer!). On the way back some guy gets behind us and starts following way too close!! The hubbies road rage began flaring, the guy flew around us and slammed on his breaks! We had to swerve to not hit him! Now that got hubbies blood boiling! After we almost got in 2 accidents because of this guy he finally turned, Thank goodness! Now we were Christmas party bound!!

When we got there we first ate dinner, I am not sure who catered it but it was DEL-ISH!! They had some of the best pulled chicken type stuff, and steak! For sides we had a YUMMY green salad, rice, a roll and veggies... mmm! For a 'free for me' meal it was FANTASTIC!! My mouth is watering thinking about it!!

For the activity they had Common Cents Casino Parties come! I have always wanted to learn how to play Craps, so as soon as I finished eating, I hurried to the only Craps table there! The dealers (is that what they are called on the Craps table?) were SO nice. They taught me and the hubby how to play! Hubby was up to almost $10 grand! But with only 15 minuets left to play he bet it all on one roll and lost it!! Thankfully we were only playing for raffle tickets! I am not sure how much I ended up with, but I got a bunch of tickets!

When we finished playing we had a raffle. I put some tickets in a few prizes, not expecting to win anything! I had never won anything at a raffle in my life, so I was just putting tickets where ever! GUESS WHAT!?!? I won! I only got a $25 AMEX gift card and a bag of Reeses minis, but hey, at least I got something! I am not complaining about FREE money!!

The drive home was MUCH less eventful, but was good! I don't think I could have handled much more, I was tired and ready to go home and go to bed!

I didn't think about taking any pics there. I am fairly new to this blogging thing so I was not thinking about posting photos at that time! Sorry, just close your eyes and image it!

It was a blast, and the hubby even enjoyed himself, which does not happen often! So good job Benita for planning such a fun, and delicious night!! I will miss you Logoworks!!

Burn the Gallows

I am not sure if any of you are into heavy metal music, I am not really, but the hubbies friend (Lars Kocherhans - he is on the very far right, with the big beard!) is in an up and coming band called "Burn The Gallows". They have recently signed a contract and will be touring. Congrats guys!!

They had a show last night at In The Venue, so we left the little chicks with Abba and Papa and went with the Hansen clan to support him. They did great, this kind of music still is not my cup of tea, but it was fun to watch him.

(If you are a baby in the cold, like me, this is not the place to go in the winter, although it is inside they left the doors open so the cold air could get in. My poor toes were about to fall off they were so cold! I guess I should have joined the mosh pit, and I might not have been so cold!)

If you are into this kind of music you should check them out!!

My Homemade Shirt-Dresses!!

I found this blog that a friend recommended and I love it!! It is dana-made-it.com. This woman is so creative, she makes all sorts of things and gives full instructions on most. Oh, and did I mention its all for free!!

I found a tutorial on her site for a dress that you make out of a mans dress shirt! They were adorable so I had to give it a try! I went home that evening and made KayLee this dress!

It turned out well and was a lot easier then I thought so I made one for Kacie too! The picture of Kacie didn't turn out that well, but you get the idea!!

Not only are they adorable, if I say so myself, but they have sentimental value, since they are Dads shirt !!

You all really need to check out this blog!! So inspirational, haha!!

First Cherries of the Year! FINALLY!!!

So I was on my way home from work yesterday and my mom calls me... "I was just looking at the Harmon's ad and they have CHERRIES!" I went speechless! "Are you serious?" I said "Yes" she replied "New Crop Cherries, $3.97 a pound" My heart almost stopped beating, I was SO excited! "Yeah" I exclaimed! And then I remembered I had given Jake my debit card to hold and never got it back... AND I was all out of cash!

As soon as I hung up with her I immediately text Jake and said "Harmon's has CHERRIES on sale. It is EXTREMELY critical that you hurry home so we can go get some! I MUST have them TONIGHT!"

After what felt like an eternity my husband finally got home! We rushed to Harmon's and got my
RED DELICIOUS CHERRIES!

When I took my first bite, I think I had died and went to heaven! MMMM.... so delicious!

I tried really hard not to eat too many, so I would not get sick. But they were delightful!

I am so glad my mom found them in that ad!
YEAH FOR CHERRIES!!!

CHERRY TREE!!!! MMMM....

I have been craving cherries like CRAZY for the last little while. Real, fresh, red, juicy, delicious cherries.... of course I cannot have them because they are not in season... I have looked everywhere for them... even online. I am willing to spend $10 a pound for them, but that is still not working...

SO.... for Mother's Day my wonderful husband bought me a cherry TREE! A whole tree! there are no cherries on it so I still have to wait, and I will probably not even get any this season, but still I now have my very own miniature cherry tree! It is one that you can put in a little planter pot and keep it inside in the cold times, and outside in the warm times!

We planted the tree yesterday and put it by our window! Here is the tree! Its so cute!

You see the little red tag on the bottom? It says RED DELICIOUS CHERRIES! Exactly what I want! I cannot wait until the cherries start blooming. In the meantime if anyone knows where I can get RED DELICIOUS CHERRIES, let me know... you will be my friend for life!

Playing at the Park!

We went to the park on Sunday for Mother's Day and had a picnic! KayLee got to swing in the swing for the first time! I thought she would be scared, but she LOVED it! Thankfully I had my camera and was able to get some pics! It was so cute how much fun she had in the swing!

The Great-Grandparents Easter Parties!

We started our family Easter parties at the Pearsons... KayLee is all ready to go find more eggs, she has her basket and all!

She needed a little refresher to pick up the eggs and put them in her basket. But she did it! And loved it!

KayLee with her Daddy! Smile!

Now Time for the Fackrell's!

Of course Breanna is as happy as a peach! That girl is always happy!

By now, KayLee was a pro at finding Easter eggs! She got into some sticky situations and was just fine, she just wanted to get those eggs!

KayLee with Mommy!

This was a lot of fun! I am so glad we were able to go to the Easter parties! I just can not wait till next year when KayLee will be bigger! Oh it will be so much fun! This year was a blast, I can just imagine what it will be like next year!

Aly will have to compete for the most eggs! lol

Easter Parties!

When we got home from camping we went to Aba and Papa's house to have an Easter egg hunt, dinner and to see what the Easter bunny brought us!

This was KayLee's first Easter! I love having her she makes everything so much more fun! This was one of my FAVORITE Easters!

KayLee caught on pretty well. She got board of finding eggs really fast, but she did great!

KayLee was way more interested in carrying the basket, then finding the eggs. You would take the basket from her so she can pick up and egg and she would throw a fit until you gave it back!

When we finished with the egg hunt we went inside and saw what we got! KayLee was thrilled with all the candy! She got a little princess chair, which she loves, she pushed it over to the table, stood on the it and went to town on the candy!

Can't quite reach...

There we go! Much better!
(Look at that balancing technique!)

I think all the candy caught up with her! She did not feel good the next day, but she still wanted candy!!

We had so much fun this year at Easter! It is truly amazing what joy something so little can bring into your life! I can't believe how much fun she is!

Happy Easter!

CAMPING!!!

For Easter this year we went to the sand dunes! It was so fun! KayLee was big enough to play. She loved the sand!

By this point KayLee could walk good enough that she was able to walk around in the sand!
She would only bend over to touch and play with the sand. She didn't like sitting in it, just touching it with her hands! It was so funny!

My brother Cody came with us this year! This was his first time camping (for real) and his first time on a four wheeler! He did awesome!I think he was off ridding more than he was in camp!
I think we have a new camping buddy for life!

KayLee with her Grandma and Grandpa! Say Cheese!

We ran out of time and Jake never took KayLee out on a four wheeler ride, so her and I modeled for a picture, pretending that I took her!!

When we woke up Sunday morning this is what we saw! So we packed up and headed home! It was a really fun weekend! FREEZING cold most the time, but great to get away!

Jacob posing for a picture while he was cleaning up!

I don't have any pictures of it, but Jake spent most his time this weekend cooking dutch oven! Mmmmm.... it was so good!
We even got a dutch oven for Easter! I guess Jacob has a new job!

IT'S A GIRL!!!!

We had our ultrasound yesterday, and the baby is doing great! The doctor said according to this ultrasound the due date looks like August 24th, but he will keep it at August 31. Any way here are some photos of the baby.... oh and by the way...

IT'S A GIRL!!!!

Profile... I think she has the same little nose as KayLee!

Her spine... Looks good!

Those are her legs... I think this picture is so neat!

GIRL!

Yeah! I am so excited to have 2 girls! They will be 15 months apart! Hopefully they get along and are great friends!

I think KayLee is going to LOVE having a little sister! She adores any kids! She lights up whenever she sees any kids... babies, 1, 2, 7 year olds! She is going to be a great big sister!

Jake figured that this would be a girl. He is excited... sad its not a boy, but still excited! He is use to having all girls around him... 3 sisters, now a wife and 2 daughters! He will be the biggest softy before we know it!

I am so excited! I am still a little nervous to have 2 kids, make that 2 babies... but it will be okay!

Diaper Derby 2010!

On March 13 2010, KayLee got her 5 minutes of what you can call "fame" during the Diaper Derby during the half time of the Jazz Game!

She wasn't too interested in crawling, instead she spent the time looking around at everything that was going on. As I sat at the finish line screaming her name, she didn't look at me at all! She loved all of everything else that was going on.

Here are a few pics from the derby!

She is ready to go! Headband, jersey, and all!
They had the babies wear "bumper stickers" with their name on it. Me and Jake wore name tags that said "Team KayLee"!

Get ready to go! Hi Mommy!

Here she goes.... maybe... wait for it....
"Nevermind I want my Daddy!"

The B98.7 team that put the derby on! It was so fun!
